Reception Saturday November 11 Reception 7-10 p.m
Justin Wood and Oksana Badrak's realities often reflect a sort of
hyper space, blending technology, the frenzy of the modern pace and
more conventional human concerns in an experimental labratory. Linear
and non linear narrative elements and personal symbols accumulate and
collide in an inner virtual reality manifest. This sense of blurriness
is reinforced by the choice of mediums which combine at times
painting, computer, photography and various forms of prints
challenging notions of originality. The results are highly charged,
personal and pathological insights perfectly disguised and packaged
for public consumption.
Both Illustrators work work has been recognized in American
Illustration and have had numerous group and solo exhibitions in the
United States and internationally, with work appearing in The New
Yorker, GQ, Entertainment Weekly, Nickelodeon, Playboy, Fast Company,
The Rolling Stone, Wired and Travel + Leisure. Their list of clientele
includes Nike, Coca-Cola, Warner Brothers, Nokia, Showtime TV and
Target to name a few.
