After you have enjoyed a wonderful meal at Gingergrass (2396 Glendale Boulevard), walk across the street to Silverlake Wine to truly enrich your evening.
Silverlake Wine carries a wide variety (and many varietals) of small production, boutique wines in all price ranges from around the globe—including a 2004 "F" Domaine Ferrer-Ribiere and apparently they are "the only store in the U.S. to sell this wine."
If it is after 3pm on Sunday, after your Sunday Brunch at Gingergrass, you can enjoy a special tasting—only with reservations—limited to 40 people. Or enjoy tastings on Blue Monday for "Blatant Low Key Relaxation," or mid-month Humpdays (once a month) or every Thursday Night Flights, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
From Curran Sangiovese, Grenache Blanc, Samsara Syrah and many other exotic tastes, the folks at Silverlake Wine are also very fond of new French releases from the likes of Bonneau, Cuilleron, Grange des Peres and Roc D'Anglade.
And they must be very well-connected with many wineries, for their expansive knowledge about wines from all over the world is quite impressive. Be sure to ask about their wine club and newsletter for more information about upcoming events and specialty wines they carry.
