most interesting and influential artists.
Bringing lowbrow to the masses since 1986.
Exhibiting during the Art Crawl: Ana Bagayan "There, there"
Born in Armenia in 1983, Ana Bagayan moved to Burbank, California with her family when she was six years old. In 2003, while still attending Pasadena's Art Center College of Design, Bagayan submitted work for consideration to La Luz de Jesus Gallery's annual juried group show and was accepted immediately.

Bagayan graduated from Art Center in December 2004. Her whimsical yet edgy
paintings reflect her intense formal training, rich cultural background & interests
in vintage photographs and children's toys, books and dollhouses. Her work has
graced the pages of such publications as Rolling Stone, GQ and Spin Magazines, depicting eerily life-like celebrity caricatures of such notables as Beck, Avril Lavigne and the Olsen Twins. "There, there" will be Ana Bagayan's second solo-exhibition at La Luz de Jesus Gallery.

#2New work: two person show with Neil Wax & David E. Stone
As a young suburbanite, Neil Wax fell in love early on with the noxious pleasures
of purchase and consumption. It is of some relief for him to be able to liberalize
my bottled-up emotions. Of course, nothing takes the pain away completely,
but it’s nice to know that we can contain it somehow- for better or worse.
Neil Wax's Abject Goods TM are sometimes also seen in Japan.

To date, David E. Stone has shown scribbled out crossword puzzles from magazines, proposed rides for an unrealized amusement park called Ordinary World, large vinyl advertising banners of the signature of artist, Joseph Beuys, and more. The materials used in his artwork have included gold leaf, digital prints, neon, ink, white-out, dirt, bronze, plastic water bottles, hard ground etching, lenticular trading cards, burned books to mention a few.
Stone's work has been shown at the Museum of Modern Art in NY, Hirshhorn Museum in Washington DC, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
